i have a stock xbox with obviously stock stuff(hd,chips) and i accidentaly copied 2 dashes trying to delete the older one didn't work and i.....
....deleted an important folder dash doesn't boot it just stays at XBOX microsoft i tried booting a back-up disc didn't work so i couldn't load back-up installer disc and i also deleted the original save file so i can't load that and re-install i have a harddrive enclosure (can i transfer the files back that way?)
i can load up non-back-up-games

didnt you say it was a stock xbox? what "dashs" did you delete? If it does have a mod which kind?

it is a softmod i heard from my mates that i needed a chip to run the install cd do i? i don't know what dashes i deleted i had unleashx installed on E:\ drive and a msdash on C:\ drive but the msdash was brocken

Well you don't need a chip......
have you backed up your eeprom..?
If not you will need to do a hotswap...
It's not hard if you read the Tut and take it slowly mate.
Your shure you can't remod it with your gamesaves...? _________________
