Hello there, I have searched for the answer to my problem to no avail, so thought I'd better ask (though I think I already know the answer).
I have been given an UNMODDED Xbox by a friend who lost his temper with it. A game p*ssed him off that badly he jumped up and down on it. He hasn't done much damage apart from totally breaking the HDD (It's that bad there is a large dent in it, that prevents the platter from spinning)
I have a new HD, but I don't have a backup of the Eprom for this Xbox. Is there anyway I can lock the new drive in order to get it working without an Eprom Backup? I have both a Modchipped Xbox and another Softmodded Xbox in the house if that would help?
I can't be bothered getting this broken one chipped, so if there is no solderless way of doing it, I'll just keep it for spares.

yeah get a solderless adapter to and a cheap modchip like a duox2
But as the repair will incur costs etc, then I shall just keep it for spares. The DVD drive will come in handy if nothing else
