Hi there!

I just soft-modded my XBOX with SID 4.5 (knave ed.). When I installed it I thought I had made an error because the screen appeared scrambled when I rebooted. I quickly figured out it was because of the component cables - when I connected the composite ones it looked perfectly normal.

I do not have an HDTV - this is a SDTV that has component inputs. I tried rebooting the installer and using the "high def pack" to see if it turned anything on, and it did not (it just wanted to install/uninstall itself and neither worked).

I really would like to keep it hooked up via component because I just got a great component switcher, and if I have to use composite I'll have to hook it up manually each time (the video switcher won't accept composite, so I'll have to run it to the front panel composite connections, which will stink).

Can anyone help? Again, I don't have HDTV, so 480p won't work (at least it doesn't when I tried to watch DVDs that way once), so I'm just trying to get a 480i signal out of the component cables.

Thanks so much for any help!

Adora
