im buying the standard xbox used and i wanted to play halo 2 live with my friends and i was wonder what mods and upgrade i should get. also what they do and why i need them.

Since you want to play xbox live you don't need any upgrades to play halo 2 with your friends online.....just get an xbox live account and put the disc in the drive and away you go....now if you are talking about modding halo 2 maps and that sort of thing we don't support that here and you will not have any luck with anyone else on this site as far as that goes. _________________ Xbox V1.6

well my friend was telling me to mod it with a new hardrive as well as a dvdplaying mod and a splinter cell mod thing so i can save games to my hardrive so i dont need the disc

if your just buying an xbox now, and you want to play on xbox live, modding isnt for you.
people upgrade there hard drives to that they can make backups of there fairly large game collections and/or so they dont have to cd swap all the time, which can also get you banned from xbox live.
so....dont need hard drive upgrade since you probly wont have many games, and since you want to play xbox live, .... and you could be banned then you wouldnt, since its used, its probly connected to xbox live, which would mean you wont be able to upgrade your hard drive AND play on xbox live.

EvoX M8 Plus 137+, thats the bios on the chip, 137+ is for larger hdds.
EvoX 3935 seems to be the dashboard he s using?
Maxtor 300GB is a 300BG maxtor hard drive!
