OK so my second propblem and hence the seconfd thread is a dead Hard drive. I have used XBHDM to make another HD for the machine but I am having a ridiculous time tring to lock the disc I have the Eprom from the board thanks to an eeprom reader and live info.
What I want to know is ther some software I can use to lock the drive in a modded box that isnt the one its intended for. That is use my good chipped box to lock the drive for the second box using the passwords from the eeprom and live info?

What type of chip do you have? I have used my X3 to create softmodded HDDs, using the eeprom backup/restore feature. _________________

I'm not sure what chip I have in my xbox. Is there a link to a good tutorial for the backup restore feature you use?

Well, the exact method that I used will only work if you have an Xecuter 3 modchip. Your best bet would probably be to use ConfigMagic, as studman suggested _________________

It's an aladin chip SO obviously no good. Will config magic allow me to lock the hard drive to another XBox. I put the replacementdrive in the chipped box and it works fine but is unlocked. When I put it in the unchipped box it wont work because it is unlocked. I do have the eeprom from the board.

I managed to get it working through using an eeprom reader xboxhdm. Took a bit of shuffling back and forward but works a treat now!
