I lost my ethernet connection to a power surge on my box only a few weeks after i soft modded it. Ive tried transferring files over discs and it isn't working at all. I know theres something i'm probably missing so ill just say what i've tried and hopefully get some help where i need it. im trying to transfer .avi files, emulators, and roms over but it isn't reading the discs at all. i've tried filling cd-rws to 600mb, putting my files on a dvd+r, dvd-r, and dvd-rw. i downloaded a NES iso that came with the emulator and roms on it already and it worked fine. it booted up when i wanted it too and i could copy files off of it to my hd using the file explorer in unleashx. i don't think the problem is my hardware, i've tried 2 different cd writers and 2 different dvd writers. I haven't tried any software other than nero though, but i have made workable games on cxbox tool. how do i make a readable data disc?

Use qwik to create an .iso and burn that to a dvd-r at the slowest speed.

ah finally figured it out. ive tried using qwix before too, i just never added a default.xbe file to any of the iso's i was making. turns out i was doing everything right but that, all i did different was add a random default.xbe file into the iso and it worked.
