there game shark controllers, and after softmod, they wont connect to the recver?

Man that I dont know. I have 2 madcatz wireless controllers and I have never had a problem with them. Is it a 1.6 because my friend got the same ones as me and he said that some times his wont connect but my 1.0 has no problem. I dont know what the difference is though.
