what would happen if i put a xbox dvd rom into my pc, would it be easyer to back up my games or is it not as simple as that.

No it's impossible, the only way you can rip the game from the xbox is either by ftp'ing directly to the dvd-rom drive, or storing it on your xbox hdd then ftp'ing.
Any way you look at it, you need to learn how to use FTP with your xbox.
There are tutorials available in our tutorial section which will explain how to do this..
Just be patient, it takes newbies a while to understand the workings of the xbox, but once you do you'll see how easy it is
