I picked up a modded v1.0 xbox in Thailand recently, but it still had the original hdd. How can I tell if it was soft modded or hard modded? It is running EvoX V+3935, (how do you tell what version of EvolutionX that it is running?) is that ok? and will it support upgrading hdd's or will I have to find that incredibly hard-to-find v1.8.3xxx? It also has the M7 bios, can I do better? Many thanks in advance.

The only way i would know, would be just to open it up and see, if the seals have never been opened then its gotta be a softmod, but if there broken, just take a peak inside... also if you boot with eject with a softmod, it most likely go to the softmod screen...
