I have searched the forums and couldn't find any answers, I know Xbox Live is out of the question but is there a way to play my xbox live games like Halo 2 online?

ok I tried to download it from here but i dont like the idea of being sent to pages that are 9 times out of 10 filled with spy ware to vote for a site, 3 times at that, just for 1 file. Is there anywhere else i can get this file with out digging through pages to get the file i want? Don't get me wrong this site is awesome, but thats just ridiculous.
xbins?

First of all, you don't need a chip. You can get onto Xbox Live with a softmod. You just need the account on your xbox before you softmod. Use SID 4.5 and READ THE MANUALS before just jumping into it.
As for xlinkkai, go here to download it. But with XBMC, you only need it to run in it's minimal mode. Setup XBMC to look at your computer's IP for the server and go to town. _________________ "That which does not kill you, only makes you stronger."

Thanks for the info much appreciated, as far as the live account I was given this Xbox by my sisters boyfriend already softmodded as a gift so I was unable to get the account on there before it was softmodded. Is there any other way to be able to use live with out restoring the orginal hard, adding the account then modding it again. That would be a pain in the arse.

it's really quite simple. As I said, download AID, boot it, and format the C drive (usually where the MOD is). Now before you reboot, go back to the mian menu and install MSDash 5960. Now when you reboot, you'll have a stock xbox. So if you don't already, make sure your SID 4.5 files are on the hard drive before you revert back to stock, or make sure they're on a mem card... then once you create the XBL account, just resoftmod and you're good to go.
NOTE: you can ONLY go online with SID 4.5, not 3.11 or earlier. _________________ "That which does not kill you, only makes you stronger."

Where could I find SID 4.5? I read in in a few threads in forums that auto-updating from a softmod box wasn't a good idea... not one really specified why, but I figure I should take the advice

it's not really auto updating... what you're doing is resetting the box to stock (no you won't lose your apps and gamesaves... as long a syou ONLY format the C drive). It's fine and safe to do. I've modded my box in different ways over 400 times. _________________ "That which does not kill you, only makes you stronger."
