I just bought a Seagate Barracuda ST3500630A 500GB 7200 RPM...i noticed that previous and smaller hard drives are on the compatability list...just wondering if anyone has tries one in xbox yet...AND could some one link me up with a tutorial showing what all i will need to prepare the new hard drive for the xbox...THANX IN ADVANCE...MOD ON...

The reason why its not on the list is because its too big, your gonna have issues with a fragmenting harddrive, unless formated in a differnt way. Do you have a mod chip? _________________

no...no mod ship...what one would you recommend though...soounds like imma need one for this and fixing error 5...lol...let me kow the name of one u would suggest to fix bolth of my problems...

What modchip you get depends on how much your wanting to spend and your comfort level with soldering into your xbox. For a cheap solution, you could look at a DuoX 2 chip. There are a couple members here who have had good experiences with them. If you want the Cadi of the modchip world, go with the X3 chip, as it is the best chip out there(imho, the xenium gold would fit up there as well).
