Hi, i've just modded my nephews XBox for christmas.
it's a 1.4 version and i've installed Xecutor3 mod chip.
also replaced his hdd with my old maxtor 30GB drive from my old PC.
i've burned the AID 3.0 to cd and it boots up in the xbox no problems.
have installed unleash, XBMC & evolution dashboards.
evolution & unleash installed to drive C, i installed XBMC to drive F.
the only problem is that when i boot up the xbox, i get the green xbox logo with the Xecuter logo underneat, but that's where it stays. the only way i can get to any of the dashboards is by inserting the AID install cd again so that it auto launches, then i can scroll down to the launch dashboards menu item.
how can i make it so i don't have to insert the cd, i want xbox to launch with either XBMC or unleash or even evoX.

I'm not savvy with the xecuter line but you could try a couple things.
See if you can point the bios to boot from the e: partition. The settings may be in the xecuter OS or something.
or
Install the dashboard of your choice into the c: partition...if it fits. _________________ Xenium Ice 2.3.1 OS

have tried installing to c: but still it hangs at the same place..
it worked originally though.
since i tried installing AID 3, i can't even boot to the Xecuter3 X3 config live anymore.
holding the white button down whilst booting fails to load x3 config live too.

have sorted the dashboard issue out. thought i'd let you know.
Apparently no one has seen this before, so with a little experimentation, I came up with a solution.
1: Boot to Backup bios (Press power & eject buttons at the same time.)
2: Flash x3 3294 to Bank 1234 (on,on,off,off,off) and Evox M8 to Bank 5678 (off,on,off,off,off).
3: Using Bank 5678 boot AID 3.10 and install unleashx dash and x3 eeprom erase on drive C:
4: Boot to unleashx dash and run c:\app\x3 erase\default.xbe, if all goes well the XBOX reboots.
5: Switch back to Bank 1234 and reboot, you should see x3 config live.
6: You will need to re-enter your preferences into X3 Config Live to ensure everything works properly, if not, when you go to check the contents of your hardrive, it will appear empty... Don't panic, check your settings in X3 Config Live before you do anything drastic like reformatting your hardrive!
I hope if anyone ever gets locked out of their XBOX w/ Xecuter 3 chip, they find this useful.
thanks for the advice btw
the only difference i did now after following your tip in the post above was:
I installed the 3294 bios to banks 1234 (on on off off)
installed evoX m8 bios to banks 5678 (off on off off)
then Instead of installing unleash dashboard to drive c, i installed both unleash & MSMC to drive F.

I'm glad to hear that my friends misfortune helped someone else.
Good catch.
