ok.. so i have an x3ce, xapter, lcd panel, xc IR, 200 gb hd WAITING to function properly.. do i need to isntall the rebuild board for the solderless installation?? I installed my chip with all the wires off of the solderless and it fails to load.. it has all the lights on.. the green light on the xapter comes on and then goes off when i push the power button.. ect.. i think it is a d0 situation.. however.. from research i have seen taht there is no d0 wire on the 1.6... can anyone help me.. i am so mad at this damn thing.. GRRR

I'm assuming since you said "all the wires off the solderless" that you have the xapt3r with 5 wires. connect all the wires, and you should have 5 colored LEDs light up on the chip. If they don't, its not attached properly.
What version of xbox? Cause the xapt3r is for 1.6, the xapter is for 1.0-1.5. _________________ Hotswap|HDD Upgrade|X3 Guide

so.. when i have the mod chip ON the socket.. there is 4 lights that are on all the time and when i press the power button the last light ( green ) comes on for a half second..
when the mod chip is OFF the mother board.. they are all lit up.. any ideas?? bad mod chip? bad adapter.. im going to try and reseat the adapter aggain maybe taht is it..

xbox version 1.6 xapt3r is what i have,. well i have both.. one mobo is busted.. so the mod chip went into a new box

Sound like the 5th wire isn't sitting right. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the xapter, cause when my chip is not on the adpater, all 5 lights are on. _________________ Hotswap|HDD Upgrade|X3 Guide

thats what im sayin.. when the chip isnt on the xapt3r.... all 5 lights are on.. when the chip is sittin on the xapt3r the first three ( one red two orange i think ill have to go look) are on and the blue one at the end... however.. the 4th light only comes on when i push the power on...

Sounds like the chip may be damaged then. Cause if all 5 lights are on with no chip, the xapt3r is not the problem.

i cant get the chip to turn on at all... it is lit up with power.. but no bois screen.. i was thinkin lpc rebuild.. but then i thought.. well shit i have a solderless install.. so im lost.. no bios.. i have been trying that one.. im just gonna buy another chip i think.. but i have the feeling that the chip workls tho because there is no reason why it wouldnt work from the start

No reason that you know of doesn't mean that there isn't one though. It sucks, but there is really no other way to test it.
