I know they are out there, but do they take away the ability to play Xbox live? If you can play NOW, do you think that will change after a few updates or something?
Thanks,
And glad to be apart of the forums.

Hi mate, welcome to the HQ Network
Now, I'm no expert on Xbox360's, as I don't own one But I'm pretty sure that these 'modchips' allow you to continue to use xbox live.
They are however different to an original xbox modchip, in that you can only play backed up originals (no homebrew apps, alternate dashes etc.)
I think, but I'm not 100% sure, that xbox-live cannot detect these chips, as they simply patch the DVD drive firmware, to allow it to read backed up games.
However, its probably best to shoot over to 360-hq.com (our sister site) and pop into the forums there, using the same login info. Someone will most definitely be able to help you
cheers, roo _________________

As far as I'm aware, several 360 chips allow you to have to firmwares, so if you flash your stock firmware there should be no reason it won't work on XBL _________________ Hotswap|HDD Upgrade|X3 Guide
