Ok, was opening my xbox when I accidently did something bad. Dont ask how I did it, but I did it.
The IDE cable that connects to the hard drive, I accidently cut about half an inch of the cord in half! Sad
Is it possible to replace it with this....
http://secure.llamma.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=64_26&products_id=50
And it will work again?

And could I find that cable at any store that sells PC stuff, I just dont feel like ordering it off the internet.
Thanks!!!
I dont even wanna try powering on my xbox to see if it still works, I just dont want to mess it up even more! Sad

Yeah, don't power it on.

Just get a replacement cable at your PC store and it should be fine.

Oh, please don't externally link image, please use the attachment option as it works easier on the server

I searched alot of my local stores sites, and they dont have ATA33.
Dont care what the price is, but would ATA 66/100/133 work??

The folds are just there to make it fit the same as the original cable did.

And don't believe anything about cable upgrades. The IDE controller on the mobo is ATA33, so you'll never get above that

Oh ok, just thought it had to do with how it worked, not space wise...
Thanks.
