what error are you getting? Typically you update the dash before the softmod not after. _________________

You can download the MS dash files from our VIP FTP servers. _________________ Hotswap|HDD Upgrade|X3 Guide

Dunno for sure where its kept, but no, you can't FTP into the virtual partition. Its virtual, it doesn't actually exist.
IF your running 4.5 you'll have to unmount the C partition and replace the entire thing afterwards. _________________ Hotswap|HDD Upgrade|X3 Guide

just basically follow this,http://www.xbox-hq.com/html/xbox-tutorials-161.html except you dont have to hotswap because you have the eeprom backup. You need to make a eeprom disk with a fresh copy of ms dash C and reformat the c drive and remod the xbox _________________
