Hello,
I have some questions regarding AID 3.0:
I allready have a softmodded XBox for over a half year now and i have EvoX (or EvolutionX ?) installed on it... I haven't been playing for quite a while now on my XBox, until a few days ago, when i stumbled onto this site and found out about AID...
The many posts from DJB (?) where he sums up the pro's and cons of it and the comparison between Slayer's EvoX and AID, totally did the job and made me wanna have AID on my XBox !
Ok, so i downloaded AID 3.0 yesterday and burned it onto a CD 15 mins. ago, i boots without any problems, BUT !
What should i do now ? Basically, i want to format my XBox, keep the gamefolder "/Games" on my E partition and install AID 3.0
But how do i do this without any problems ? And am i going to get a new dashboard then also ? I don't quite understand... Also, when i format, do i have to softmod it again ? Because i softmodded him the "Splinter Cell way", but i have forgotten how...
Can anyone help me with this ? Thx in advance and my apologies if i posted this in the wrong section of the forum or something...

AID is not something that you install. You use it to install other things.
You don't have to format anything if you don't want to.
Let use emulators as an example, go down to "Install Emulators", choose the partition you want to install them too, and then choose your emulator. This will install the emulator application to your HDD. If you were to reboot to evox you should now see the new emulator in the emulators section of evox.
It can be used to update to a new dashboard, edit your system settings, etc.
I recommend reading through the .pdf file that accompanied the download, it has tons of information in there about the applications and tools available on the disk, _________________ Hotswap|HDD Upgrade|X3 Guide
