1. Does it matter what kind of mod-chip I have in my xbox?
2. If I install a larger HDD, will I be able to play it on Xbox live with the Modchip switch off?
3. How large are average xbox games? Money is tight and an 80gig harddrive sounds really good right now. I don't want to spend $$$ on a HDD that will get filled up really quick. How many games will an 80gig HDD hold?
4. Does a HDD with higher memory buffer and transfer rate affect loading times? If so, what is considered good?
5. Just out of curiousity, how fast is the HDD (mem buffer and transfer rate) and DVD drive (4X, 6x, or what?)?
Any particular brands of HDDs you guys recommend?
Please respond ASAP...payday is this tuesday and I've been itching to get this done, I have MLB2K6 installed on my stock drive (the DVD drive crapping out was getting on my nerves), and I need to install the rest of my games so I can play them!!!
Thanks.

if you were on live with that xbox, scratch the idea going back on live after the hdd upgrade, they will detect a hardware modification. _________________

I could never play it on live anyways, my xbox doesn't recognize region 1 games, since its a japanese region (2 or 3?). So I can't play any games from the MS Dash.

well I wouldnt use that tutorial, its out of date. And since you got a mod chip, all you really need to do is pop in the new harddrive and use AID 3.10, its not nesessary to have a locked hdd and since you cant go on live. _________________
