I have a version 1.1 xbox and was wondering if it is possible to softmod without having the games or memory cards? Is there anyway or anywhere to d/l an image of a softmodded box already, or do you have to use the memory cards and one of the 3 games? I also would like to change out my xbox hdd to a 60gb Maxtor a have. Would this be a problem??

I created a xboxhdm image of a softmodded xbox. It is available in the VIP download section.
All you do is burn the .iso, keep the CD in the drive, and hotswap the HDD(check my sig for hotswap tutorial). The disc should install everything you need to launch AID3.10, and from there you can install all your apps, emulators, or chance out the dashboard from evox to something like xbmc or unleashx.

No, just as a VIP download.
