I've heard some anecdotal evidence that this will work with AID, but I wondered if there was a process I should follow.
I have a matrix-chipped xbox. When moving the xbox, the chip often mis-aligns and then I spend ages trying to fix it. I have 2 questions:
1. Will AID aid me in installing a softmod, if so, what is the process?
2. Will the softmod be as reliable as a (properly seated) hard mod?
Thanks,
Lee

Considering your problems with the chip, a softmod would be more reliable than the chip, but does not have all the support that a chip does.
What version of xbox? You may be able to tsop.
As for for to softmod with AID, do this:
Format C
Install MS dash 5960 to C
Backup Eeprom
Backup MSdash
Go to tools, and install softmod from the menu there(I suggest 4.5 over 3.1)
Hope that helps _________________
