I recently softmodded my box and am seeing a target temp in my dashes set at 131 degrees F...isn't that a bit hot? I keep my fan at about 70-80% to keep it under that(usually around 121-126 degrees),it is really loud when I'm viewing movies though, so, I am wondering... what is the max temp before things start to go bad?

I'm not familiar with degrees farenheit, but celcius rather. When I run XBMC, I have the fan speed set at %10. This maintains about 45~50 degrees celcius, when running all night.
Anything above 65 degrees celcius is becoming too hot (I think the xbox shuts down at 70 deg. celcius). _________________

Do you have a fan upgrade? The Fan speed I am running at the moment equals your temp in F,but,I am apparently running 60-70% more to it to maintain?

131 degrees(54 Celsius) is a little high, but not terrible. I would put my fan at about 30% and it runs just fine. 70-80 will create just a whole lot of extra noise you don't need. _________________ Hotswap|HDD Upgrade|X3 Guide
