Ok, I've heard of some freezing problems with EvoX, so I wanted to come here and get the background info.
Xbox Version: 1.3
Modchip: Xecuter 2.6 CE (Pin Install)
BIOS: EVOX M8 (Bank 1); Cromwell FlashBIOS 3.01 (Bank 2)
Dashboard: Evolution X (From the Auto Installer 3.0 pack)
HDD: 40 Gig IBM (Will be upgrading to my 250 Gig Maxtor Quickview when the converter comes in and I get the problems fixed)
Any time I try to load a game, application or emulator, I get taken to a LOADING... Screen and then that's it. It just stays on the loading screen and I don't get anything from there. I have the IN GAME RESET turned off in the Dashboard's Settings but I dont' know what else I'd need to tell you.
Is there anything else I need to check on? I have FTP Enabled so I can transfer my files but beyond that I don't know what else to say.
What could be causing my loading freeze?

here try this:
ftp into your xbox, delete whatever is in E:\CACHE\ and the directories x,y,z. See if it works. . _________________

Thanks for the reply. I didn't have a CACHE folder (I use F drive to store my games and there was none there either).
I deleted everything from XYZ as well and still no luck

Yeah, I checked for a CACHE in E and there was none. I went and FTPed it there, emptied it and still nothing...

I will suggest something but u will have to backup everything. Clean xbox from inside all the dust and stuff. Then use AiD 3.04 to format it and install a dash and whatever u want. Then see if the problem is gone or not. _________________

Cool. I'll do that, I was thinking maybe trying that anyway. I clean my Xbox out with compressed air every couple weeks, so it's good.
I know this isn't just an EvoX problem because I've loaded Avalaunch and it let me click the game but the game loaded to a black screen and nothing. I'll try the update. I don't think I have anything needed to be backed up, so I SHOULD be able to just go clean update, right?

you got a mod chip, back up your gamesaves and do a fresh format and install, I recommend XBMC for a dash. _________________

Just to update you guys, I tried the XBMC and it went to a black screen, my eject button flashed orange and then it shut down.
It's not that big of a deal to me to reformat everything as I have all of my saves etc backed up already and haven't really done much else on my machine yet. I'm just trying to get everything working and figure out what I'm doing with this for when my 250 Gig HDD comes in (well the SATA converter for it anyway).
I'll let you know how 3.04 works.

Someone brought to my attention that maybe I should try using X2 Bios, could this also be a problem?
Currently I believe I'm using the Evox M8 Bios...

Ok, I installed X2 BIOS and it works great. I was told it would support 250 Gig HDDs after patching it with x2ool or something like it. Is this simple? If it's not automatic download or something, can someone point me to a tutorial or give me a quick rundown?
I could probably figure it out but I don't wanna kill my bios like I did the first time...

I'll probably use it 90% of the time but just so I don't have to do a "Multi Dashboard" thing, I want to use it as an app...

lot of us prefer xbmc as dash. But if u want it as an app, first uninstall it from whatever directory it is in. Then prepare the directory u want it as an app in, its usually E: or F: Install xbmc as a app in there. Furthermore, install watever u want as a dash, Unleash is the best after xbmc. _________________
