I know I have tooted the BMmods horn on several occasions, but they again need to be recognized for exlempary customer service.

I have spoken to them about advertising on this site, but unfortunately they are currently only doing affiliate type of advertising. Hopefully, someday we'll see their ads on this page as I truly think they are a great asset to the modding community. I'll keep working them!

I ordered two Xenium Ice chips on Sunday, and paid for two day air via UPS. Very reasonable especially after using the 5%OFF-Loyalty coupon code. For both chips and shipping it was around 106.00 and change.

They were shipped on Monday and today my package arrived on schedule. To my dismay instead of two little plastic bags each filled with Xenium Ice chips, pin headers, and D0 wire looms, I ended up with only one. The other package had their X-Ease Kit which included a USB Controller Port insert, an external LED, and wiring for the LED.

Now, my last order from them was missing a measly little soldering kit which consists of short piece of solder, braid, and some 30AWG wire. It's a 3.00 kit but I like the thin solder as I haven't found any like this at Radio Shack. I was shocked when after I emailed them with the issue they overnight shipped me the kit plus a small free gift (external LED and wiring) not too mention spiced up the soldering kit a little bit too. For them to spend 13.65 to ship that overnight was above and beyond the call of duty, but that is what makes GREAT customer service and how you truly establish a loyal customer base.

They also have live tech support via IRC and perldesk ticket system too. After I submitted the recent product error, and I was a little upset as I have two machines here awaiting chips, Brian from BMmods got back to me in less than 20 minutes. He explained how such a mix up could happen and apologized over and over for the mixup. Again, they overnight shipped me my correct product and included a FREE Xenium Ice chip for my problems!! I wasn't expecting that at all! I knew they would handle the chip that I paid for, but never would have thought they would send me an extra chip at no charge.

Right there is the reason that I find it very difficult to order from anyone else. A company shouldn't be judged on what they do right, they should be judged on how they handle what they do wrong!

later all

hey RM,

They must be good mate.. I dont often see you pushing a site unless you have had good experience yourself.. Smile

It would be nice to have such a sponsor here. If you say they are that good i might even sign up for the affiliate program and see how they go..
I dont like affiliate programs because you rarely get paid what you deserve..

keep on their backs man.. Im sure they will come around.

l8r and thanks for the info. *you lucky bugger.

Yeah, I'll keep on them. Their affiliate program starts out at 7% which isn't all that great, but he said they start out there which tells me there's more money on the table.... can you tell I spent 20+ years in sales..HA.

So far I have purchased about 15 or so Xenium Ice chips from them and I have never waited more than three business days for my order! For some reason I am pretty consistent ordering on Saturday night and I always have my chips by Wednesday.

On their site the guarantee shipping within one business day so you know they are serious about getting people their chips. Quick shipping combined with their IRC Live Support and perldesk help desk...they are the complete package.

I only wish they had more products. This weekend I am ordering a SmartXX chip to put in my other Halo SE machine. Brian over at BMmods claims once I go to SmartXX I'll never want another chip again. I'm curious to the hype.

Catch you later!

yeh ive heard nothing but good things about SMARTxx too Smile

I like the LED idea on the front displaying what file is playing etc or mp3 info/movie info.. It would be a bit of a bugger to install though im thinking.

let us know how you go
