ok well i have heard that flashing your TSOP can be just like getting a modchip. I was wondering if this is true. I also read up on flashing it and there arent any tutorials for doing it to a 1.6 xbox. If any one knows how to without soldering that would be great, lol cuz i dont feel like soldering right now or ne time soon lol. I was also wondering if there was a program out there that allows you to just unlock the TSOP without flashing it. thanx in advance.

there are no tutorial on doing it to a 1.6 because the 1.6 does not ahve a TSOP chip to flash. Sorry, it aint gonna work.
If you had a 1.0-1.5, you don't necessarily have to solder. I just TSOPed my 1.1 and use a pen that writes conductive ink. Very handy.

why doesnt the 1.6 have a TSOP chip? what did they use in place of it. and when i had XBMC read the contents of my xbox it said that i had an onboard TSOP that was protected. it also says that i have an onboard modchip thats protected. but i didnt see one when i opened my xbox, so idk im lost lol.

Dunno why they removed. Maybe to stop usfrom taking advantage of it
On a softmodded xbox your using software to load a false BIOS, so thats probably what xbmc is picking up. Check what Evox says as well. _________________ Hotswap|HDD Upgrade|X3 Guide
