but i dont know what the hell i'm doing.
Ok So i tried to softmod my friends xbox with Sid 3.1 but i couldnt get it to boot a dashboard.So i then reinstalled the ms dash. I put sid 4.5 on his xbox, booted up splinter cell click check point and now i get error 21. Also if i try to just boot the xbox normal it comes up to a screen that says Checking xbox live for updates and I cant get off that screen to take off sid 4.5. Any help would be great.

I have a eeprom and a ms backup. i dont know if that helps

Does the softmod game still load from a cold boot?

At this point it's best for him to do a hotswap. usually SID only does that if there's something wrong with his MSDash backup. And going back into the exploit won't really help. What blayze was going to reccomend is that you coldboot the game and re-run the exploit. I recommend booting the exploit, changing the network settings to DHCP, rebooting and using FTP to send over a fresh copy of MSDASH 5960 to E:\Backup\MS . Then resoftmod. just hotswap with shademands... cant go wrong and its very simple to do.
