Quick question... in SID 4.5 does anyone know the default password for formatting the xbox partitions?
I read all the documentation included with the Softmod, but there wasn’t an indication of –any- password needed for that menu selection.

i'm refering to the section in SID 4.5 where it gives you the ability to format your xbox partitions. it's asking for a password, does anyone know what it is?
please help.

so if i have a hard drive that says locked and gives error 13 but when i boot with splinter cell it goes to soft mod menu what can i do this is a 40 gig drive i jus finally got to work in my xbox then something happened get error 13 and 14

If you can boot the softmod game, then re-run the exploit, get it modded, and you should be good to go (just bake sure you have an MSDash backup at E:\Backup\MS and an eeprom backup at E:\Backup\EEprom) _________________ "That which does not kill you, only makes you stronger."

"XBox" didn't work... it said "incorrect password"... any other suggestions?

K, hold on. I'm reading through config.xml file for the softmod( the actual softmod, not the dashboard that is installed) and there is no format option.
If you want though, you can use the file explorer to format. Select the drive you want, hit start, and choose format.
Make sure that you transfer files back before you do anything else after formatting or else you'll end up with an empty drive. _________________ Hotswap|HDD Upgrade|X3 Guide
