Why not just flash the tsop with a bios that supports no dvd drive operation?

As far as I know, you don't need any of the actual DVD parts, you only need the main board of the drive attached to boot. So you could strip everything else and just mount it to some plexiglass.

exactly, thats what i was thinking, but guyz dint go and use a good drive, just get the logic board of of a old dvd drive lol
