I have a Version !.0 Xbox with a xenium Ice chip. I chipped the box a year or so ago and used Slayers to install and upgrade to a 250GB HD.
I recently had a HD start to fail in my PC. I used the Xbox HD to replace it.
I just bought a 160GB drive to replace the one I stole from the Xbox.
I still have the stock XBOX HD. I have Downloaded AID 3.0.rar off BT and the 3.04 update. I found the .iso in the 3.0.rar. Do I just use the update tool to add the the updates to the 3.0 ISO?
Do I need to reinstall the stock HD and start Aid and then upgrade to the bigger 160GB drive?
I have an old evo bios flashed if memory serves me right.
i tried searching here to answer my own questions to no avail. I seem to be just getting more confused. If there is a sticky or tut I missed please send me in the right direction.

With the updater program, you point the program to your ISO, and then to your update packs.
If you want to isntall the 160 you can use AID, it should detect that there is no FATX on the drive and should work no problem from there, _________________ Hotswap|HDD Upgrade|X3 Guide

I don't need the update packs 3.01-3.03 just the 3.04 update correct?
Start with stock HD run Aid then upgrade?
Just want to make sure I got it straight.
What is a good current BIOS for Xenium ICE?

Yup, just the 3.04
However, since 3.1 was release about an hour ago or so, you might as well just use that
Check the news section.
