heyy... I need someone that KNOWS ABOUT FTPS AND CONVERTING edit, edit, edit some more and help me figure out how to do it... it's a lot quicker, efficient, and understandable when you can ask questions and get answers quickly.
I'LL BRIEF YOU IN:
I bought my friends modded xbox, and I've been fiddling around more with trying to upload more games onto the harddrive than I have actually playing the goddamn games. I stayed up all night surfing for answers and methods to solve what I was trying to do.
Basically.. after a while (for some reason my xbox wouldn't pick up a IP) I got my xbox to connect to my pc.. and I successfully transfered files onto my xbox and stuff.. HOWEVER.. I'm VERY confused about the whole .iso thing. I have some images of games that I would REALLY like knowing how to put them on my xbox without using a CD.
I read about all kinds of methods and ways of doing it.. but not a single one worked. I managed to "successfully" transfer my isos over to my xbox from my pc using all kinds of programs from xiso to simplex to qwinc or w/e the hell it is.. basically.. I spent 7 hours trying to do it.
Now.. some of you may say that I may have been doing it right, and that the iso was damaged or whatnot.. but I tried it on multiple different game images... so..

and please don't bitch at me for 'pirating' , because I did. I never said I stole any material on this site, so you cant help.. that'd be greatly appreciated.. if all you want to do is bitch at me on a website dedicated to tampering with video game consoles.. then just don't say anything.

First of all, we'll "bitch" if we want to. If this site gets shut down due to piraters, then hobbs and many many admins (like myself) will get pissed. Second, the modding of consoles for personal backup use of games you already own is completely legal. Bill Gates said so after he tried to sue what is now known as Attack of the Show on G4TV (formerly ZDNET TV) for showing how to install an Xecuter Modchip when they first came out on their "Dark Mods" segment. Two weeks later, xbox sales went through the roof, Billy withdrew his lawsuit and we've been modding since. BUT we still have to follow the rules, or sites like this get shut down because of Pirating twits like our old friend Gus738.
Now, onto your question. It is virtually impossible to get an xiso of a game without going through the xbox. (unless you purchase a DVD drive with the xbox flashed firmware to hook into your computer. Assuming you're wonderfully new to this modding scene, I'm sure you don't have one sooooo). SO if you already have the ISO's then you already know how to put the game on your Hard drive by ripping the game via DVD2Xbox. There is NO WAY to create an xiso DIRECTLY from the original game disc using only your PC. So, therefore, you must have downloaded it via the torrent or P2P. SO, you will not get help here on this subject.
If I am so wrong about how you obtained these iso's, please, feel free to correct me, or maybe another admin could shed light on how to magically own a game, then create an ISO via a PC, because it would really save me a CRAP load of time backing up my 100+ games.
So, to clarify, you have ISO's, but you have them on your computer hard drive. You haven't ripped the games to the xbox to get those isos (so far the only way to get an iso of a game you own, other than spending the big money on a snazzy xbox drive for your PC). So in closing, there's a 99% chance that you downloaded these games using torrent. Hell, my hat's off to you, I know most people who can rip games all day, but can't figure out a torrent for the life of them!
Cheers, m8. You won't get help on this subject from me, unless you can prove that you obtained these iso's through the PC-DVD rom way. Just post a screen shot of the software you used. That would be enough.

Because A it would be files that you can FTP and second if it was in ISO form then its a game hack which is not allowed. I can FTP any ***** file I goddamn feel like.. whether it be a picture, an iso, a ****** zip with the windows operating system.. it doesn't matter WHAT the file is.. I can still FTP it to my xbox. And YES, I do know how to FTP. However, that doesn't mean that the game will work on my xbox.. and that is what I need to know how to do.

LO...yeah point B is if it comes as an ISO its a hack of something. As for the FTP I didn't mean it like that. You said you were having problems connecting? anyway think about it most backups that you have on the box HDD you would need to beef it up with ISO right? So if you have the ISO then you need to unbeef it....Which mean extract the files from a Xbox iso client ( I ahev an apple client but don't know what a PC one is) and bam FTP what you get. _________________ The mighty V6 Passat came to chew bubble gum and kick%^* and shes all out of bubble gum!

Oh right, usually people who want fast answers dont post in only 1 forum. It seemed like Sevenvy wanted a fast answer. So, he posted his question in xbox-scene. Well, after Sevenvy sent a PM to a moderator, the moderator posted the Pm (which is what i posted) in the thread and locked it.
