Hi, i have a question about cloning a drive, and unlocking/locking.
Heres the case: I am using xboxhdm to clone my original (stock) drive. I have both drives installed in my pc (stock drive as primary master, new drive as primary slave and cdrom as secondary master). The tut tells me to unlock the new drive (unlockhd -a?) before i start the cloning.
My question, then, is this: Do i need to remove the stock drive before unlocking the new one (and if/when i unlock and then restart, will the drive still be unlocked)? Or should i leave both drives in the pc and then type unlockhd -a? how do i know which drive has been unlocked, and is it only the new drive that i should unlock before cloning?
Also, do i need to retrieve something (passwords/eeproms or something like that) from my new hdd before i unlock it. I read something about passwords that i need to lock it with again, but im not quite sure if this only goes for stock hdds or if its all drives.
Finally; my new drive is currently set to slave in jumper settings, do i need to change that?
Sorry, i know its a lot of qeustions.
Thanks guys, PeteyEmu

Both drives need to be unlocked, so may need to move them around a little first to unlock the stock drive.
As for the eeprom, if you have the eeprom.bin file in your EEPROM folder on the disk you burnt, then you'll be fine for locking and unlocking. _________________ Hotswap|HDD Upgrade|X3 Guide
