Ok One More Question. I Have Another Xbox But The HDD Crashed And Before I Tried Hotswapping It My Friend Tried To Fix It But He Pulled Out The IDE Cable Will That Affect The System At All???

You have two options. Hotswap (no, you dont need a chip to do this) or go the chip route and just run the autoinstaller. Right now, you cannot FTP or run AID so even if you wanted to it will not work.
By installing a mod chip you can flash a hacked bios to it and that will give you the ability to reformat your HD, install a hacked dashboard, and then install anything you want. It will also allow you to FTP. Some chips have webservers built right in, others do not. However, even with the chips that do not, you can simply use AID to install Evox and do your FTP'ing through there.
The easiest option in my opinion is just to chip the machine and then run AID and let AID reformat your drive, install dashboards, apps, and emu's.

Are you asking if running an Xbox without an IDE cable would effect an Xbox, the answer is yes. Without the IDE cable the HD cannot be accessed. Or, if you are stating that the IDE cable was removed then reinstalled then you will be fine. I'm a little confused on your second question as I don't really understand what you're asking. What did he do with the cable after he pulled it out? Also, if the HD crashed then you obviously need a new one anyway.
I have tons of stock unlocked HDs. If you decide you need one let me know. I can ship in the US for only $10.85 _________________ Xbox 1.4

What I Mean Here Is That My Friend Unplugged The IDE Cable And Ran The System I Was Just Wondering If That Would Affect Anything.
