Pretty much what it says.. I have a broken Xbox, It has a "good" CD drive I guess it's faster and can read burned Cd's. I just bought a first generation Xbox and it has a crappy cd drive. Every now and then it says it can't read a disc, and is probably slowing down gameplay in games like Half Life because it can' t read the cd fast enough. Any way, I'd like to put the broken xbox's cd drive in the working one, can I do this? Or will it just not work? Thanks.

Yup it will work, just plug and play. The xbox dvd drives are interchangable, so just pop out the old and in with the new.

While you have the new one in the box, you could always mess around with the broken drive and see if you can fix it by cleaning the lens or if its a thompson you could tweak it. You may have two working drive, and could sell the second.

Sounds good, I'm going to put the better drive in now, and as for selling the old one... I think it's just starting to break down. Thanks for the help, I didn't want two broken xbox's.
