When softmodding can i disable the security option in xboxhdm and not worry about locking the hdd?

I dont belive so. The reason is, softmodding does not change the bios that resides on the motherboard. Nor does it effect the eeprom where the HD password is stored.
The bios is always going to require the HD to be locked. Unless you TSOP flash your motherboard you will not be able to get around this.
This is why mod chips are so popular. Once the hacked bios is flashed to the mod chip, you do not have to worry about locking the HD as the hacked bios doesn't give a rats ass. _________________ Xbox 1.4
