Hello everybody,
I was wondering if there was a way to get a Thompson DVD Drive in the Xbox to play burnt CD's. If there is any way of modifying the drive or flashing the firmware on it could someone please tell me.
Thanks

Not really, you want to get a sammy drive for that. But why not just ftp the mp3 files and play them that way off your dash? Or are theres backup or roms packs on them? _________________ The mighty V6 Passat came to chew bubble gum and kick%^* and shes all out of bubble gum!

But only do it if you're willing to spend about an hour with the tweaking. You need to do it in nanometer increments (you'll see what I mean when you go through it). Follow the tutorial to the LETTER or else you will fry your drive. _________________ "That which does not kill you, only makes you stronger."

Thanks both of you,
@Pson: Yes, but to do it on an unmodded Xbox too.
@AngelosDracul: Looks a bit too hard for me.
Thanks for helping guys!

might be too hard for ya, but it's always good to learn. Like you said, the drive is FUBAR, and if you can wing it and it works, then you save yourself the dough of buying a new drive. _________________ "That which does not kill you, only makes you stronger."
