I just installed Evox using AID3 that was updated. i've redone the install at least 6 times just today because everytime i go to launch an application like DVD2XBOX i get the transition Evolution X screen but it freezes right there. i installed another dashboard too and it does the same thing. i have an old BIOS on my XBOX, does that make a difference? if so then you can link a good tutorial on how to burn a bios cd or use AID to install a new BIOS. everything i try doesn't work. i really want to get some emulators working on my XBOX. any and all help i can get would be VASTLY APPRECIATED. i am using the stock HDD at this time. it's a v1.0 xbox with an executer chip. please help me ASAP before i shoot my xbox.

Sounds like you definitely have a bios issue. You need to find the latest bios that is right for your version Xbox and then reflash your chip. We have loads of tutorials online here to help. Feel free to check them out.

Also, you can become a VIP and download any bios you need. I am unsure if AID has any bios packs or not, I never got around to checking, but if it does you may be able to get your bios right from your AID disk.

If you want more info, let us know a few more things.

First, what mod chip do you have installed. (certain chips can be flashed right from your web browswer!!)
What version is your Xbox.
What size HD are you using right now.
What DVD Drive does your machine have (this will help determine what disks you can use for your bios disk)

i believe i have a first generation xecuter lite.
the xbox is a v1.0, i got it with the stock HDD (the guy kept the 120gb) and no dvd drive.
i have since bought a thomson dvd drive that i just tore down and cleaned so it reads much better but still can't it to read any bios cds/dvds i burn. it only reads my AID dvd-rw disk and games really.
so i have a v1.0, executer lite (1st gen i believe, it is solderless), using the stock 8gb HDD, and thomson DVD drive.
i'm begging for help, anything. links to point me in the right direction even. i am a complete newb to this stuff. just got the xbox and modchip for free thought i'd try. thanks for everything already.
