I recently got an x-box off ebay and its modded (with evox M8 v1.6 BIOS), I have AID 3.03 but before I start installing dashes I need to know if my x box is mod chipped or soft modded. Is there anyway to tell without opening the case and having a look.
I did notice on the system information on AID I have x,y,z drives, is this normal or part of a soft mod?
not sure if this applies to all cases but i have an xecuter chip with a blue led that shines away inside my box also is there a switchbank just underneath the first controller port? this is used to enable/disable the chip, again not sure if this is true for all chips but hope it helps anyways

yes, gfellows, you have some kind of a chip. What kind, I can't tell you. Best way is to open the xbox and take some pics of it, perhaps and then attatch them to your next post.
Zenhitman, your chip is, needless to say, one of a kind (as far as the Xecuter 2.6 brand goes) Most other chips are software controlled (flash protect, what bank to run, chip enabled, disabled, etc....). I like the Xecuter brand for this reason, no dillying around with extra menus. Either on, or off, bank one or two, I love it.
