My brother messed up his xbox hd in ways i dont want to describe, LMAO
Is there a way I can load the xbox harddrive on windows and veiw the partition so I can take files off it eg..program I can use for this?
Oh and I just want the eeprom off the drive so I can make another hardrive for his box.

Not exactly, you have to build a eeprom reader and get the nessary programs to get the eeprom info off the xbox motherboard, In its locked state the computer wont open it and if its unlocked windows wont be able to read FATX.
I can give a link to a tutorial for making the eeprom reader if you want. _________________

Oh thats ok, thanks anyway.
I just figured there would be a much more simple way of getting the eeprom off the hd, his box is giving error code 21 and he has a new hd to be put in it anyway so I was just gonna make a new one but I wont get far without the eeprom, lol
and I dont honestly know what he did to get it in the state he has it in. lol
I just know you can load the 360 hd in xplorer and read/write to it, figured you could do the xbox the same way.
Guess ims tuck with the hotswap method, I just didnt want to have to go through that hard drive building process twice, LMAO

Ok, Ive tried the hotswap without success, when I try to unlock the drive by unplugging the dvdrom drive in the xbox, and botting the hard drive in the pc, the xboxhd program says after I select the first choice boot vga whatever, it says INFO INFO INFO INFO across the top over and over like that. lol
anyway I have error 21 which is the dash reading wrong, except you cant load no games, no discs, or anything.....how do I restore it?
