theres a chip i'm looking for, you can load games onto it and play them without the discs, you can load roms from different systems, and of course enter cheats. i know that an xbox modded with this has a bunch of LED lights at the bottom of the machine, centered under the power button. does anyone know what chip this is?
I dont specifically know what chip it is that your refering to but, you can softmod your xbox and be able to do the things that you are wanting without needing a chip.

Although all chips will do everything you mentioned, I believe you are talking about the X3 with a pro switch. _________________

No no thats wrong and you can get banned for asking illegal stuff like that. any chip will let you back-up your games that you have in your house. I have a cheap 10 chip in my xbox and I have all of my nes, snes, and xbox games (that I owe and have in front of me) on my xbox for anytime I want to play them at will, without having to pull my old snes, nes system out of the room to play. _________________ The mighty V6 Passat came to chew bubble gum and kick%^* and shes all out of bubble gum!

so if i had a copy of the game that i couldnt use i wouldnt be able to legally load a rom onto the chip in place of the original disc? because thats what i was asking about

if you legally own the game or rom, than in some countries you can back it up. The games do not get stored on the chip, they get stored onto the harddrive. The chip only allows you to boot them. _________________
