i began to softmod my XBOX, everything going sweet, started to FTP all the files to my PC........ urrrrrrrrrrk, XBOX hdd crashes, to never return. Only got half the files off the HDD and that didnt include the eeprom.bin file.... so i cant install my new HDD...
Ive ordered a chip, but when that comes, can i just fit my new unlocked HDD into my XBOX and everything be sweet? Wont it need an eeprom.bin file? or is there anyway i can recover it?
Some advice would be great..

although i tried that and my hard drive is so knackered it wont even recognise its there, just goes click click click click, then error code 07 comes up! haha.
im trying the freezer trick as we speak, but i think its had it for good

well u need a new drive, and a chip cuz u dont have the eeprom, if u had the eeprom u could rebuild a drive and lock it _________________ Please post all PC Questions at PC-HQ.com

ahhh i thought that might be the case.
when i get the chip and the new HDD is installed, can i "build" a new or recover the old eeprom.bin file? In case i ever wanted to de-chip it?
