Greetings!
I had a question about my attempted installation of AID 3.03. I'll lead you through my process step by step. First, I downloaded AID 3.00 and the 3.03 update pack through a link on this site via Bit Torrent. When I opened the AID 3.00 file, it looked nothing like the tutorial screenshot, as it contained 26 files (all called aid30, all with the same file size). I randomly picked one and un-RARed it. Amazingly, it contained the files it should ("Bios, Bios CDs, Tools, etc"). I then followed the update process (Instead of selecting all the update pack 3.02 items, I selected all the update pack 3.03 items) and burned the resulting iso to a dvd-r. I wasn't completly certain how to utilize the dvd-r on my system (a version 1.0 xbox running a xenium gold chip, with a xenium 2.3 OS, no other mods or dashboards). I tried the add a launch item, but it wouldn't display the contents in drive d. I also inserted the dvd-r, powered down the system, and booted it on again, but still no luck. Did I make an error in burning the iso? My xbox has a Thompson drive, should a use the more compatable dvd+r format? Am I trying to install the package in the wrong manner? Thanks in advance for your input!

You must already have your modchip flashed with a hacked bios.
it sounds to me like your not running a hacked bios yet..
Go and flash your bios and then you should be able to boot the AID just fine..
Without a FLASHED BIOS on your modchip you will never get to boot AID.
APart from that... If you do have your modchip flashed already you are probably just having some media issues.. Check this area here for more info on which brands of dvd-r work for your xbox dvdrom drive.
So, if I could obtain a bios such as the Evolution-X M8 and flash my chip with that, I would then be able to use the AID disk that I have created?
Would I be able to utilze the BIOS CD's folder included in AID 3.00, un-RAR the 1mb evox m8, burn the resulting ISO to a dvd, and then install on my xbox? As a side note, what is the difference between a 256, 512, and 1mb bios? Thanks for your input.

You need to start with the right one first mate......
It's called xbhqaid3.rar or something like that (not the xbhqaid3.r00 to xbhqaid3.r25 or how far yours goes)
then it will Unzip all the rar files in the right order.....

You can flash your chip with either the Evox M8, Xectuer 4983.06 or Xectuer 5032. Make sure it's the 256k bios. To flash all you need to do is type the IP address of the xbox into your browser, which will bring up the Xenium screen. Then you brouse youir pc for the bios and select it, choose a color for the bios and name the bios so that you can select it when booting your xbox.
After you do that click on flach at the bottom and it will do the rest. _________________

For some reason, after I downloaded the AID 3.00 I noticed that all the files had the same name. My folder didn't appear anything like the tutorial, until I "un-RARed" one of the archeives. I did install the EvoX M8 bios, and then the AID 3.03 disk worked perfectly, just like you said.
I had already loaded the 1mb bios, is this a problem? Should I remove it, and then reflash with the 256k bios? Thanks!
When I install an emulator, what drive should I install it to? I have upgraded my system to an 80 gig hdd. When it s installed, will the emulator appear under the "apps" section of the dashboard? Has anyone written a tutorial on how to add roms to the emulator? Or should I just drop them into the same directory as the emulator? Thanks for your input, I appologize for the basic questions, this is my first mod.
