not true at all. Magnus the HDD you have found will be just fine as long as it is IDE interface it'll be no problem

minimum what? Size? Anything 10 gigs or over, I guess People have installed up to 500gb before. Its a matter of cost vs use. Will you ever use 500gb? If not, you don't need to spend the money. _________________ Hotswap|HDD Upgrade|X3 Guide

the std HDD's varied between 8-10Gb so it has to be at least that size. Any EIDE 40 pin ata HDD will be fine, no SATA drives though

Trying to figure what hard drive works the best is an apples vs. oranges comparison, they all have there advantages and disadvantages. Personally, I like Western Digital, it doesn't mean that I won't make a switch to Maxtor or Seagate.. The western digital drive in my Xbox has been going strong for 3 years now without any problems, that doesn't mean it won't fail today or tomorrow. To sum up what I just said, just worry about finding a good price on a hard drive that meets your storage need and you'll be just fine.. _________________ Xbox V1.3
