Ok, i tried changing my hard drive. I used xboxhdm and followed all the steps on the tutorial on here. I used the default msdash for the boot disk. I locked the hard drive. I put it back into the xbox, turn it on and im still gettin the message sayin i need a service!
What do i do now? Please help me

I get the sevrice required error, with number 12 in the top left of the screen....

Its a softmod and yes i have AID3 but i cant use it as the xboxs dvd wont open, i asume because of the hard drive...

Error 21 is the M$ dash. You will need to reinstall the dash using AID. You should be able to open the drive by turning on the xbox with the eject button. Try that and let us know what happens. _________________

Error 12 is the dvd. Make sure both connection are in all the way. If your dvd is fubard then you'll have to start looking for a replacement. _________________

Awww damn... all this HDD stuff i've been doin and its the dvd player all along?! I'll try and fiddle with the wires and see if they are a bit lose.

ok.... i dont know how this happened but the yellow cord was unplugged!!!!!! I dun know how though cos i didnt even mess with the dvd drive. Anyway i plugged it back in, booted up....... and now theres another problem!
I've got error 16, i looked at the links you gave me enigma and looked at the error 16 thing but it doesnt help, its saying to load up the game i used to mod, but i cant do this as i haven't got the saves on my HDD... Anyway i still put the game in to see what would happen and it wouldn't load, its just sayin i need a service and number 16!
Sorry for all these problems but i really apreciate the help and any other help you can give me. Thanks guys.

i cant because i have the default xbox dash on the hard drive.... i planned on starting the softmod again when i done the hard drive but then i encountered all these problems lol
