I see a lot about using xbconnect to play friends online. 2 questions I couldnt find answers to in the forums/tutorials.
1. Assuming xbconnect does not connect to the LIVE service, who does it connect to? Other players on the net (public room/hubs) , or just people connected to my router?
1. Do you need a mod chip to FTP to a computer? I would think so since the computer can not find my xbox, even after typing in its IP. ( I had read the Maddog tutorial)
Thanks for any help

Xbox Connect uses its own server.. It was created by a XBOX GAMER and is a kick ass program.. When you load the XBCONNECT software onto your pc you enter your username and password and then are connected to the XBCONNECT SERVER.. On this server you can chat, HOST GAMES, JOIN GAMES etc etc.
Xbox Connect is the only ONLINE MULTIPLAYER service that allows you to boot your BACKUP GAMES FROM YOUR XBOX HDD and play them over a SYSTEMLINK (XBCONNECT) session..
Its kick ass.. Im always on XBCONNECT playing Rallisport Challenge 2 with the XBOXLIVE HEADSET.. Funny Actually talking and laughing at others while ya race...

Well NO.. But we can only support you if you have a MODCHIP AT THE MOMENT.. I am doing alot of reading about SOFTMODS (non modchipped) but still dont have the experience to be able to help with that..
Get yourself a MODCHIP and everything will be sweet..
l8r mate and hope ive answered some of your questions..

Thanks forahobby, that seemed to wrap it up for me. I have come to the conclusion that if you come to this site you must have a mod chip to do 99% of the fun stuff
I am sending my xbox to realmccloy for a chip, I was just playing around, trying to get music & game saves off before the HD is swapped
