I was hoping someone whould be able to help me figure out what to do. See, I've had my XBox for over a year, and I bought it pre modded due to me frying a previous motherboard when I tried to solder the mod on. Well here is my problem, I don't know how to start off (what bios, dashboard) now since I have the mod installed. Its a Xecuter2Pro with the LPT port. I don't have an LPT cable, but I heard you can install by CD/DVD??? .....Basically my question is what (bios, dashboard or anything else) do I need to put on my XBox and in what order do I need to do it for it to be ready to play backup copies of my games? Step by Step if someone can help me. I know somebody has to have a pretty good idea on this site. Thanks

Okay, so I am thinking that your premod only came with a Cromwell bios. Did it come with a larger HD?
First you will need to flash your modchip with a hacked bios. You can download one from our site here. Then you will need to install your dashboard and apps.
Here's what you can do. You can download our autoinstaller. The xbox-hq autoinstaller has Evolution X Dashboard build 3935 ready to roll. You can also lock your HD, install XBMC, and install game backup tools/apps like PxHDD loader and DVD2Xbox.
The autoinstaller will also format your HD based on whether you are using a retail (original 10GB) drive or a huge 300GB Drive and everything in between.
If you are using a HD larger than 160GB you will need to flash your modchip with a bios that supports larger HD's like the Xecuter2 4983.67
If I am not mistaken, being that you have the Xecuter2.3 Pro you will have to flash your modchip via a programmer. Did you get that too? I have a Xenium chip and it can be flashed via a disk in my Xbox DVD Drive. I haven't evern messed with the X2.3 pro's, but I am pretty positive you cant flash via the DVD Drive.

Ok.. Just like RealMccloy say.. Your modchip when shipped normally comes flashed with the CROMWELL BIOS.. (LEGAL BIOS).. This LEGAL BIOS only allows your xbox to boot XBOX LINUX and XBOX LINUX CODE..

So do exactly what RealMccloy says.. You need to flash your Xecutor Modchip with one of the latest hacked M$ Bios files.. You can find them in the VIP Downloads section here:

Once you have flashed your MODCHIP and you can boot backup games, apps and emulators from DVDROM then you are ready to download the XBOX-HQ AUTO INSTALLER v1.2 and burn it to DVD-R/CDRW.
All you do is boot this AUTO INSTALLER in your modded xbox with your modchip turned on and a menu will come up.. The rest is very straight forward..

Ok thanks for the help guys, that answers alot of my questions. Realmccoy, I don't have the xecuter2.3 pro though, I bought it about a year ago and I believe its just the 2pro, or the 2.2pro, I also only have the standard HD and the Cromwell bios. I have one question about what u said about flashing the modchip with a hacked bios. How can I do that, do I just download a bios and put it onto a CD/DVD and put it in the xbox? Or will I have to hook up to the LPT port (because I don't have the cable)? Thanks

Maybe one of our Xecuter Chip pros can be a little more clear on the flashing process for you. I have only evern dealt with Xenium chips, and now thanks to Simi X-Chip (thanks for the experience Simi..HA)
I was under the impression that all Xecuter chips had to be flashed via a programmer, and could not be flashed via the DVD Drive.
Can anyone confirm this as I don't want to give eroneous info.
As far as getting a hacked bios, good news is you are a VIP so you can download one from our VIP section. You also may want to take advantage of our Xbox-Hq autoinstaller. It's based off of the Slayers which was total innovation, but now the Slayers apps are a little outdated so ours takes over where Slayers left off.
With the autoinstaller you can format the retail drive, or even a larger HD once you decide to upgrade. I just helped someone with a retail drive use the autoinstaller yesterday and it worked perfectly.

Another problem I am having is finding the LPT cable so I can flash the chip. Do you know where I can find it at. I have heard that I need a DB25 Parallel Cable (male->female) of 0.6meter/2feet (if FCC ribon cable is 295mm/11.61inches) 0.9meter/3feet (if FCC ribon cable is 235mm/9.25inches) or shorter if you don't want verify errors. I find some of these cables but the smallest one I can find it 6ft.
