last time i set up my 3 xbox`s from retail to 120G was with slayers 2.0, so theres been some years.
Currently all my boxes are up to date on the software i use.
Now im putting in new 320G on them.
1. when creating larger hd with F G partition, does it use 32k clusters, or do i have to use XBpartitioner?
2. currently i use 4981.06 bios, since that doesnt support XBpartitioner or G partition, i will be flashing to x2 5035 using flashx on a disc.
With the new drive in, should i flash first or format it first. (im guessing flash)
3 im using a static image, since im networked static through a router. Im guessing you can change to dhcp as normal in the dashes setting later?

Maybe someone has your answers.
I am not sure about the 32k cluster questions, but I have installed 300+GB HDs using AID, and I did not use XBPartioner. AID partioned my drive fine.
I never go with 7 partitions, even though my Bios handles all 7. Basically, AID will ask you if you have a G drive, if you choose NO, it allocates all memory to your 6th partition (F DRIVE). If you say yes, it will give you 6+7 (F and G).
If you insist on having a G partion, then yes you will definitely need to dump the .06 bios. If you like the X2 bios, you can always go with the 4983.67 bios...yes, it's a bit older but it still works like a charm. It supports both 6 and 7 partition setups.
And, Yes..you can change to DHCP through your dash settings after you are good to go with your setup. _________________ Xbox 1.4

installed it yesterday, couldnt be easier.
went with the 5035 bios and fg partition.
xbpartitioner seemed to work also.
only problem was it hang during oneclick inastall.
so i deleted the files and just installed xselect,all apps and emus
ive used xselect since the first versions, didnt even notice it has been updated to XSelect 0.9
