ok I dont trust downloading Games any ways (VIRUS)
but i do want to know how to back up the games i own i moving in a few days and dont want to lose any of them however i have a retail HDD is it ok to burn using my computer them or not and could i ply on my other Xbox(unmodded). I'm new to the Modding world and i dont Know what gos and what don't.

You will required a modded xbox (either softmod or modchip) to play backup games or use any homebrew titles..
You can backup your original XBOX DVDROM's using DVD2XBOX.. Then you can ftp them to your computer and burn them to a dvd-r.. They will only work in your modded xbox.

ok i dont have to make them iso then. thats good cause i dont know how to do that. someone told me i would have to convert them, guess ill need a bigger hdd soon as im sure some games wont fit on my HDD as i only have 3.75 gigs left

Hi Magus2286,
Once you used DVD2XBOX and have the your original games backed up on the XBOX HDD you then transfer the whole game folder over to your PC so you can make a XISO of it and then burn it to DVD-R..
Say you were backing up your original of HALO.. Put it in.. Start DVD2XBOX and choose backup.. It will backup to either F:\Games or E:\ Games.. Then copy the whole folder of that game to your pc.
You must always make a xiso of a backup game or it will not work.
To make a XISO you just download free XISO creation tools.. There are plenty on our site right here and most are or should be included with AID3..

btw.. this reply is to support those users wanting to backup their originals for safe keeping.. I find nothng wrong with this method.

Ok this pops a question for me to ask....when you rip the game to the HDD can you just play it from there or do you need to ftp and iso it to load???? I want to install my games so I don't have to pop discs in it and if I want a road trip I don't want to hang on 20 games. when you back up a game to your hard drive you can play the game directly from your hard drive. you dont have to keep putting in disc thats why almost everyone on here has upgraded hard drives

yea i have retail hdd fir right now and moving tomorrow thats why i am backing up to dvd but u burn them as UDF right?
