I recently softmoded my xbox and everything was going good until i decided to change evox bios and dash to evox 2.4 after i did that my xbox media center was not showing up in my apps folder so then I tried to restore my c drive and thats when everything went to error

when you mean " change evox bios" you mean you changed your dashboard right ? because bios is for modchips , anyway

if you @ this point can load the linux you modded your console then you can re mod it , but @ this point i dont think you can . also DO YOU HAVE YOUR EEPROM.BIN back up on to your pc or something? if you do it makes thigs ALOT easier... _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

hey thanks for the reply , i just wanted to upgrade evox and when i did i erased the current evox dash and copied the 2.4 version then when evox loaded it would no longer display xbmc or games. i tried to start over by using itools and restoring the c drive and thats when i got error and it was saying to update correct xbe. after i gave up the next day the xbox would no longer load mechassault. so now i need to order a modchip . what would be the most reliable chip right now? oh yeah i did backup my eeprom bin [/b]

well modchip is the last option and it does bring alot of benefits.. but since you say you have your eeprom.bin on your pc then you can re make your hd ... with xboxhdm1.9 ... basicly you download and extract xhdm1.9 then on its C transfer a ms dash from pirrup signiture (or where ever you may have a ms dash) then on ts eeprom folder put your eeprom.bin and make iso win and burn it ... then take out disc ( reboot) press f2 or w/e your button is to get to bios and change boot order , have it read from cd drive first then hd... after you did that setting save it and then unplug the power and take out your pc hd and plug the xbox hd ( since the linux disc can damage your pc hd) after you plug the xbox hd power it back on and put the disc and start making the xbox partitions...
reboot the program after doing the files and lock it with the commond lockhd -a theirs a space between lockhd and -a
read a tut if you need to but its very simple ....
now this is if you have your eeprom.bin on your pc if not then read hotswap w/out an eeprom tut .
basicly you can start over making your xbox load up as you first bought it .
or you can skip this simple fast process and buy a chip....
