Hey all! ok i am in a bit of trouble and have to ask a couple of questions, so pleaaaaaaaaaaaasee do your best to help out.
Ok, i had a working xbox v 1.0 modded with Alladin XT Ice, however recently i accidently happened to burn the LPC points (meaning the metal rings are gone), so the chip does not boot, and the xbox boots normally, BUT!, when the xbox does boot normally it goes to error 5 screen because my maxtor 40 gb hardrive is not locked. Now the questions are:
1.) Do I have any options to fix this?
2.) Are there any alternative LPC point which i can use?
3.) Can i some how lock my maxtor 40 gb hardrive (no i dont have eeprom), so atleast i can boot normally?
So can someone pleaaassseee assist me!

Since your hdd isnt locked you will need a modchip to fix this
yeh i have alot of chips sitting here that i can use, but the problem is the LPC points are burnt....are there any alternative LPC points? is there a way i can get the chip working again?...right now i cannot do anything on my xbox ...plzzz help...thankyou for your effort...

without your xbox in front of me its a bit hard to say whether its fixable or not but most things are as long as it can still boot just fine.. You could even soldier to the underside of the mainboard if things become that grim in some cases..
If you have already damaged the unit when soldiering i would suggest maybe this time getting someone else to have a look at it for you..
Just remember tv/video repairman and stores are used to these types of components and could probably have a quick look for you at the soldier points as long as you provide insturctions..
