Hello Everyone
Bit late in the game but finally got my xbox modded(Xecuter v2.6) and as far as I can tell there is nothing else on it. The lad who did it for me also gave me a disc with this proggy on it "Auto-Installer.Deluxe.v2.02". Have stuck the iso onto a cd-rw and stuck it in the xbox and had a quick look at what is on it and am fairly over whelmed at the amount of options. Up to now the little fella has been able to play backed up games so I can only guess that the original bios on the mod chip whas updated but now I would like to stick on a new dash so I can ftp etc. the thing I am wondering is when I have been saving game plays(another words when I save the spot I am at in a game to continue the next day) is it saved in the c: partition or the e. The reason I ask is because if I install say Evox dash into C: and the game saves are there will it overwrite them

Thanks for that J8994. Out of curiousity why would you stick EvoX on E: and not C:
Also while playing around I formated both C:+E: partition with one of the utilitys on the AID disk. The thing is I have been reading on the net that before doing this you should backup the info on your c: partition or you wont be able to reboot the xbox. The strange thing is I did not do a backup prior to formating. As per norm when I rebooted the xbox it gave me the error 16 which I think is the "no dashboard error". So I stuck back in the AID cd and rebooted the xbox and he presto it booted into the AID menu which allowed me to re-install a new dashboard. Are the posts on the net about "make sure you back up your info on C:" pre AID days or was I just lucky?.
Maybe someone can answer this one for me plz. After being able to reboot my xbox with the AID cd with out anything being on the HD I thougtht it would be a simple job then of buying a new HD and just sticking it in and re-booting with the AID disk in the dvd drive and then at the AID menu selecting format Hdd. But this time I just get the error code and no matter what I do it will not boot with the AID cd. I have read the different posts about sticking new Hdd in the xbox but thought I could just do it via the AID cd, is it possible?
Thanks for reading

well the reason for puting evox in e\ is so u can still use ms dash if need lol, and yes error 16 is a dash error, if u still want to load ms dash then put dash in e, also use nknave dual boot sid 4.5 if u want to be able to still access ms dash _________________ Please post all PC Questions at PC-HQ.com
