Ok I installed my X-Chip correctly. My X-Box frags about 3 times then it goes to the regular ms thing. I got the slayers evox auto installer burnt into a dvd-r. when i put it in the drive it says i need a dvd playback kit. Any suggestions? Should I load a bio from my usb port to the x-box? please help!
Update:i just made sure that the d0 point was in good position put in the screw and put in my mod-chip correctly. Eveerything is very stable. Red light came up and it was going all as planned. Now when i boot up my xbox it doesn't frag 3 times. It frags 3 times without putting the ide cables into the drive and the HDD. I got an evox bio and I'm pretty sure I installed it right from X-control to my mod-chip. The bio doesn't even load; its the ms regular screen everytime.
Another Update:Auctually I just went onto X-onctrol and put the X-Bios to boot and now it frags 3 times. But the screen is black and it doesn't go to the ms thing now.
Another Another Update:I tried to flash a bio and then i remove the usb thing from the usb adaptor and now it normally brings up the regular ms thing again. I can't get it to bring my evox dash or my cromwell dash PLEASE HELP.

hi Simi,
ok.. When you got your X-Chip it had the CROMWELL BIOS (legal bios) flashed onto it already.. Correct.. All modchips are normally shipped with CROMWELL.. YOU CANT BOOT BACKUPS OR CHANGE YOUR XBOX DASHBOARD until YOU FLASH YOUR MODCHIP WITH A HACKED M$ BIOS.
You need to flash your new X-CHIP with a bios that is the correct size.. Im sure you have all the info on what sized bios it uses. If you have a USB flash cable for the X-CIHP which i think you said you do you need to flash your MODCHIP with a NEW XECUTOR BIOS..
Once its flashed correctly and your modchip is turned on YOUR XBOX WILL BOOT JUST LIKE NORMAL (this is good).. THE BIOS DOES NOT CHANGE THE WAY YOUR XBOX LOOKS WHEN IT BOOTS apart from the little mircosoft logo being changed..
Im hoping you are following this..
If you want to change the way your xbox looks when it boots up you want to install a DASHBOARD.. For example: EVOX DASHBOARD, AVALAUNCH DASHBOARD, XBOX MEDIA CENTER DASHBOARD etc etc
We have a XBOXHQ AUTO INSTALLER which once burned to DVD-R or CDRW it will automatically copy the evox dashboard onto your xbox.. This is the easiest way for all newbies especially if you have no network experience or ftp experience.

Well, this is just from my limited experience with this webpage, but I would recommend changing it to a $10 dollar paypal donation to this site. I guarntee forahobby will get you up and running, and I am pretty sure (even though I have had no contact with hin as he has been on vacation) realmccloy will do the same. And apparently they have some good downloads available for the $10. But thats just me.
